Reality Television

Reality television is all the rave now.  So many people are tuning in each evening to see what is going to happen week after week in the lives of the individuals involved in these shows.  A reality television show is defined as television programming that presents unscripted melodramatic or "humorous" situations, documents actual events.

Participants often visit exotic locations during the show and sometimes go through abnormal situations.  At times to boost ratings, participants are persuaded to act in specific scripted ways by off-screen story editors trying to promote what they think will make for good television.

Realitytea.com is a website that brings followers a daily dose of reality television.  The site is updated on a daily basis and covers some of our most favorite shows, which include Big Brother, the Real Housewives series, Jersey Shore, Survivor, Real World, Teen Mom, Amazing Race and more.

Each season we are introduced to various new reality shows with interesting dialogue.   This brings about numerous conversations with our friends discussing the participants in the shows as if we know them.  These shows are meant to be entertaining and the reality of it is that this is not a gender specific trend.  As the audiences continue to grow, the ratings are boosting, which helps to insure a spot for the next season.
